Godolphin and Coolmore go head to head for Classic round two in 1,000 Guineas

Little to separate on the clock: Happily (nearside) and Donnacha O'Brien just get the better of Magical in the Moyglare Stakes
1 of 1

This weekend's Classics theme of Godolphin versus Coolmore is set to be a two-day epic after the Soliloquy and Wild Illusion v Happily and I Can Fly clash in Sunday's Qipco 1,000 Guineas was confirmed. A total of 15 were declared for the fillies' race.

O'Brien, who also has Sarrocchi and Sizzling in the race, surrendered one string of his bow as 33-1 shot Bye Bye Baby joined David Simcock's unbeaten 40-1 chance Teppal and the Dean Ivory-trained 50-1 hope Eirene on the missing list.

Qipco 1,000 Guineas final field

Altyn Orda, Anna Nerium, Billesdon Brook, Dan's Dream, Happily, I Can Fly, Laurens, Liquid Amber, Madeline, Sarrocchi, Sizzling, Soliloquy, Vitamin, Wild Illusion and Worship

William Buick, who had the choice of the two Godolphin runners, is on Soliloquy, with James Doyle taking the ride on Wild Illusion.

Ryan Moore is due to have returned from Kentucky, where he will be riding Mendelssohn, to partner Happily, while Seamie Heffernan is on I Can Fly. Donnacha O'Brien on Sizzling and Wayne Lordan on Sarrocchi.

A notable jockey booking is Jim Crowley, who Richard Hannon has recruited to partner apparent third string Vitamin. She is a best-priced 50-1, with Tom Marquand on Anna Nerium and Sean Levey riding Billesdon Brook.

Also at Newmarket on Sunday, Investec Oaks third favourite Lah Ti Dar is among six declared for the Listed Tweenhills Pretty Polly Stakes, a race her trainer John Gosden won three years in a row from 2014 to 2016 with Taghrooda, Jazzi Top and Swiss Range. However, Gosden's odds-on favourite last year, Astronomy's Choice, could finish only third.

The race's value as an Oaks trial is further highlighted by the fact that Talent won the year before Taghrooda.

The supplemented Wuheida is one of eight declared for the Group 2 Charm Spirit Dahlia Stakes, for which she is odds-on.
