Lack of access to grass gallops means George Boughey's two-year-olds are "less streetwise" according to the trainer, who agreed Godolphin's private facility gives their trainers an advantage over Newmarket rivals.

Boughey was speaking in response to Charlie Appleby's admission that he was benefiting from access to his own turf gallop at Moulton Paddocks while grass facilities in the Newmarket and Lambourn training facilities remain closed due to the drought.

Appleby's two-year-olds are in red-hot form at present with a 54 per cent strike rate in the past two weeks.
