Tonight's racing: three to look out for at Newcastle and Dundalk
Friday's evening racing comes from Newcastle and Dundalk. These three runners should be worth looking out for
Island Of Life
There have been few more frustrating horses to back than the William Haggas-trained Island Of Life. The four-year-old has been sent off favourite on six visits to the racecourse for the Newmarket handler, winning just once and beingbeaten by a length or less four times.
Having started slowly at Kempton last time, she made great strides to finish fifth over the minimum trip and runs over a furlongfurther tonight.
Daniel Tudhope takes the ride and the pair look like they have a solid chance of landing a long-awaited victory.
Jessica Harrington's runners have been a tad unlucky over the past fortnight and she could land her first Flat winner in 34starts with Boston Bruin.
The juvenile boasts a nice pedigree and has shaped with promise on his two starts, most recently finishing third behind a smart Ballydoyle pair at Gowran Park.
There should be further improvement to come in what looks an open maiden.
This son of Sepoy made an encouraging debut for Ruth Carr when a close thirdhere this month after starting his career with Ed Dunlop.
He has not won in18 career starts, but his last run showed plenty of positive signs that a victory is coming. His best efforts have come at this venue and heraces off the same mark as last time.
Carr had a winner earlier this week and could be returning to winning ways with this interesting bottom-weight.
