'Real fighter' Waseem Faris in great form as he hits three figures
Waseem Faris has served his trainer Ken Cunningham-Brown well over the years and will be looking to provide more celebrations on his 100th career start at Bath on Friday.
The ten-year-old, who has won nine of his 99 starts and £86,132 in prize-money, is in fine fettle according to his trainer as he prepares for the 5f handicap (5.05).
"Everybody loves him," said Cunningham-Brown. "He's in super form and always runs well even when he doesn't win. He just loves the game."
The son of Exceed And Excel began his career with Mick Channon before being sold to Cunningham-Brown and was bought back by the Danebury-based trainer at Tattersalls Horses In Training sales in October 2016.
"I bought him for £10,000 and sold him for £15,000," the trainer said. "He didn't win in 14 starts so I bought him back and he's won another three races for me since.
"He normally needs the race but I expect him to run a good race. He's a real fighter; if all my horses had his fighting spirit I'd be very happy."
