A versatile performer with 12 wins to his credit, the Colin Kidd-trained seven-year-old won tonight's 2m conditions event two years ago and will seek a fifth Flat win to add to seven successes over hurdles and one over fences.

He refused to start in the Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse in December but is well treated by race conditions and Kidd reports Niall McCullagh's mount "fresh and well" for tonight's task.

He said: "Rashaan won the same race in 2017 after a break and we're hoping he'll do the same this time. He's well treated at the weights and is in good order. He's probably better going the other way [right-handed] but he's won over the course and trip, so we're hopeful."

5.00 Dundalk

The Pat Martin-trained nine-year-old is a Dundalk regular and has done most of his racing on the Polytrack and attempts his tenth win at the venue in today's 7f claimer.

Wayne Lordan's mount is dropping back in distance having run second over 1m2½f on his most recent start here a week ago and Martin said: "It looks a tough claimer and we're taking a chance dropping him down in distance as he hasn't run over seven furlongs for some time.

"A mile is probably his ideal distance but he has won over the distance there a couple of times and came out of last week's run well. Wayne has ridden him a good few times and gets on well with him."

Kasbah
5.30 Dundalk

A seven-year-old who has had several trainers, Kasbah has failed to win since scoring at Lingfield over two years ago.

He had his first run for Ado McGuinness in November and his trainer is optimistic the gelded son of Acclamation can return to winning ways under Tom Madden in today's 7f apprentice handicap.

He said: "Kasbah was beaten only half a length over the course and trip on his most recent start last month. He's in good shape and is dropping in grade, so we're expecting a big run from him."

Colfer Me
6.00 Dundalk

Joseph O'Brien's exciting start to 2019 has included six victories on the Polytrack since the turn of the year and Colfer Me and Numerian, who represent him in the five-runner conditions event over 7f, have contributed to their trainer's tally.

Numerian won a maiden over a mile at the track last month before losing out by two and three-quarter lengths to Colfer Me when the stablemates clashed in a mile handicap two weeks ago.

Champion jockey Donnacha O'Brien partners Colfer Me and will be attempting his first win of the year, while Seamie Heffernan rides Numerian.

O'Brien said: "Colfer Me won well last time and showed that he handled the track well. This looks a more competitive race but he's in good form and we're looking forward to a good run. Numerian, too, is in good shape and likes the surface."

Those taking on the O'Brien pair are Michael Halford's course-and-distance winner Sky Seven, the Michael O'Callaghan-trained Evasive Power, a winner over 6f at Wolverhampton in December, and Swissterious, the highest rated of the quintet and having his first run for Damian English having previously been trained by Karl Burke.
