Aidan O'Brien has sent out the last two winners of this event – subsequent Classic winner Capri in 2016 and Ballet Shoes 12 months ago – and this year it is Roscommon maiden winner Christmas who heads his bid for a hat-trick of wins.

A son of Galileo, Christmas, the mount of Donnacha O'Brien, made all for a three-and-a-half-length win at Roscommon last month and speaking on Thursday, O'Brien said: "Christmas has come forward with each run and won nicely last time. He seems in good form and hopefully he will improve again."

O'Brien is also represented by the once-raced maiden Mona Lisa's Smile.

Fozzy Stack is represented by Highland Fortune, a maiden winner over a slightly shorter trip at Leopardstown and the mount of Billy Lee, and the Chris Hayes-ridden Wargrave, who has been placed on his two previous starts.

"Highland Fortune is going back up in trip after running quite well when fourth in the Group 2 Railway Stakes. He's in good form but there isn't much to choose between him and Wargrave, who ran second at Galway 11 days ago and came out of the race well," Stack said.

Chicago May, a two-and-a-half-length winner at Naas on her debut last month, represents Henry de Bromhead, while Joseph O'Brien is two-handed with maiden winner Vallambrosa and Syrena, who has been placed on all of her four starts.
