Flat riders set sights on valuable four-race competition in Prague

Darryll Holland, Jimmy Quinn and veteran Arc and Melbourne Cup winner Gerald Mosse are among 16 riders competing in the second European Jockeys’ Cup tournament at Velka Chuchle in Prague today.

The nine-race card, which starts at 11am, includes four races worth €125,000 in total and is thought to be the richest day’s Flat racing ever held in the Czech Republic.

Former British jockey Gary Hind, who rode around 1,700 winners in a 28-year career and who has lived in the Czech Republic for the past 12 years, has helped with sourcing jockeys, together with his Czech wife Marketa, a former amateur rider.
