The much-anticipated clash between Buveur D’Air and Samcro in the BetVictor Fighting Fifth Hurdle on Saturday is still on the cards with the ground at Newcastle set to suit both horses.

Nicky Henderson reported on Sunday all was well with dual Champion Hurdle winner Buveur D’Air in advance of his planned return to action in the Grade 1, which he won last year.

He said: "Buveur D’Air worked with Altior this morning and all is well. As long as they get rain at Newcastle, it will be fine for him."
