Royal Ascot clues: the exciting two-year-olds who have shot into contention for top juvenile races

Following a busy of week of action, there has not only been an abundance of Classic clues but plenty of pointers for Royal Ascot. Here we pick out some of the main market movers for the royal meeting's two-year-old races . . .
Albert Einstein
What did he do last week? Lived up to the hype at Ballydoyle when making a stylish winning debut in Saturday's 6f maiden at Naas, the same race won by subsequent Classic winner Siskin in 2019. The physically imposing son of Wootton Bassett had the measure of main market rival Evening Blues by a length and a quarter, with a further 12 lengths back to the rest.
Where could he run at Royal Ascot? All roads lead to the Coventry Stakes. Aidan O'Brien said: "We always thought he was a Coventry horse. You’d like to get another run into him before it, though."
Odds: 5-2 favourite for the Coventry Stakes
Military Code
What did he do last week? Made it two from two when defying a penalty for last month's Newmarket success with a hard-fought win in the 5f novice at Ascot on Saturday. He made all after breaking quickly from the stalls and had enough in reserve to score by a neck from the fast-finishing Fitzella, who was made a 12-1 shot for the Albany after her encouraging debut.
Where could he run at Royal Ascot? Having shown the necessary speed for five furlongs, the Norfolk looks the obvious target, but William Buick said the Wootton Bassett colt will stay six as well, which could bring the Coventry into play.

Odds: 6-1 favourite for the Norfolk; 8-1 for the Coventry
First Approach
What did he do last week? Overcame a slow start to win the 5f maiden at Naas on Saturday with some authority, having finished second on his debut at Dundalk. Aidan O'Brien won the same race three years ago with Little Big Bear, also a son of No Nay Never, and he went on to win the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot.
Where could he run at Royal Ascot? Could go down the same route as Little Big Bear and go for the Windsor Castle, with the Norfolk and Coventry also possible options.
Odds: 8-1 favourite for the Windsor; 10-1 for the Norfolk; 20-1 for the Coventry
Society Kiss
What did she do last week? Made an impressive debut at Ascot on Friday when bursting clear to win the 5f fillies' maiden, in the process equalling No Nay Never's two-year-old track record. The Ralph Beckett-trained 55,000gns breeze-up purchase looked a likely candidate for Royal Ascot following the two-and-a-half-length success.
Where could she run at Royal Ascot? As her pedigree suggests, she looked all about speed and you would not have thought connections would be in a rush to go beyond the minimum trip, which makes the Queen Mary the likely port of call.
Odds: 12-1 for the Queen Mary
Ali Shuffle
What did she do last week? Completed a hat-trick with a front-running success in the Lily Agnes at Chester on Wednesday, supplementing wins at Redcar and Beverley last month. Although she had the perfect draw in stall one, she was well on top at the finish and Royal Ascot was mentioned afterwards for the straightforward and experienced filly.
Where could she run at Royal Ascot? All her runs have been at five furlongs, so the Queen Mary looks the most suitable target.
Odds: 20-1 for the Queen Mary
