James Doyle eyeing crack at Prince of Wales's Stakes with Wathnan Racing colt who 'has loads of ability'

Wathnan Racing's retained rider James Doyle said the team were leaning towards a return to Group 1 company for Prix Ganay runner-up Map Of Stars with the Prince of Wales's Stakes the likely target at Royal Ascot over the Hardwicke Stakes.
The Francois Graffard-trained four-year-old is expected to stick to a mile and a quarter following wins over the trip in the Group 3 Prix Exbury in March and the Group 2 Prix d'Hardcourt a month later, after which he finished a neck second to Sosie at Longchamp when sent off the 6-5 favourite in the Prix Ganay under Mickael Barzalona.
Both the Prince of Wales's and the Hardwicke – which is run over two furlongs further – remain options for the son of Sea The Stars, who is a best-priced 8-1 for the £1 million showpiece on day two of the royal meeting.
