Track superintendent Jamie Richardson, Churchill Downs' equivalent of the clerk of the course, details the turf situation ahead of the Breeders' Cup

We recorded 1.83 inches of rain at Churchill Downs and the going is yielding as of Thursday afternoon, but I'm thinking it could be yielding to good by tomorrow.

There is a slight chance of a shower on Friday but the forecast seems to be improving all the time.
