Sean Bowen: has picked up the ride on Three Card Brag in the Randox Grand National for Gordon Elliott

Three Card Brag could turn Sean Bowen's superb season into a sensational one after Gordon Elliott snapped up the champion jockey in waiting for his main Randox Grand National contender following the news that stable rider Jack Kennedy is set to miss the rest of the season through injury.

Bowen has blown the jockeys' championship apart this season with 162 winners on the board, and he has been handed a big chance of claiming his first success in the Aintree spectacular with Three Card Brag, who sneaked into the race on Monday after six horses were removed.

Three Card Brag is now number 32 on the list and is guaranteed a run. He is set to carry just 10st 5lb, and Elliott admitted that he has been trained all season with the race in mind.
