Breeders’ Cup tips

Racing Post’s Spotlight has picked out the best Breeders’ Cup tips in a bid to help you find more winners for Friday evening’s racing.

7.30 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint

There was a lot of rain at Keeneland last Thursday but it has been mainly dry since and the temperature has picked up in recent days, so this quick-draining turf track is expected to be on the fast side. Although drawn wide and facing early pace rivals, Golden Pal is the clear form horse so is taken to prove good enough.

8.10 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf presented by Coolmore America

An open race in which a chance is taken on Public Sector for leading turf trainer Chad Brown, who won this last year. The selection used the same prep race as Brown's 2019 winner but it was a small-field, steadily run contest and this colt got behind before challenging wide on the final turn just as the tempo was increasing.

8.50 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies

There are some quality fillies in this, four of them unbeaten. Vequist has been defeated yet she appeals most. Although only second to Dayoutoftheoffice in the Frizette at Belmont, the selection was stuck in a pocket for much of the way which allowed the winner first run. Vequist, who had earlier won the 7f Grade 1 Spinaway in style, has the speed to either go to the lead or sit close and there's enough about her to think can carry her speed over this two-turn trip.

9.30 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf

This can go to Plum Ali, who is unbeaten in three starts including a strong performance in the Miss Grillo at Belmont, a race that's been a good pointer to this contest over the years. She'll let others get on with it early but has the gears to find a good position and has the ability to throw down a big challenge.

10.15 TVG Breeders' Cup Juvenile

Reinvestment Risk should be suited by this greater stamina test so could reverse form with Jackie's Warrior from those earlier Grade 1 races and prove best.
