All of 30 years after Arazi posted the definitive precocious two-year-old performance of modern times at Churchill Downs, 'Future Stars Friday' marks the arrival of the 38th Breeders' Cup.

Significantly, it also heralds the return of terrestrial television coverage for the $31 million two-day gala for the first time this century.

Indeed, when Channel 4 last broadcast the star-spangled event, it wasn't a two-day gala at all. The world has moved on a lot in the interim.
