Ribchester was only third to Galileo Gold in the 2000 Guineas but has more than earned another crack at the top milers after a convincing success in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The Richard Fahey-trained colt was speedy enough to beat Log Out Island in last year's Mill Reef and has gone from strength to strength over longer trips this year. His Guineas third, on his sole start over a mile to date, and his Royal Ascot win both represented career-best efforts at the time.
