'To win a British Classic would be the ultimate dream' - syndicate behind 50-1 Derby runner-up aiming big after Epsom heroics

The team behind Lazy Griff were still pinching themselves on Sunday after watching their 50-1 outsider finish runner-up in Saturday's Betfred Derby.
Having chased home Lambourn in the Chester Vase in May, Lazy Griff again offered most resistance to the Ballydoyle runner when finishing a three-and-three-quarter-length second in Saturday's Classic, much to the delight of the 24 members of the Middleham Park Racing syndicate who share ownership of the Charlie Johnston-trained runner.
"You couldn't quite believe it was happening and then two furlongs out you actually thought you might have a chance of winning it," said Mike Prince, who manages the syndicate on behalf of Middleham Park. "Lazy Griff travelled so beautifully and coming down the Hill with Christophe Soumillon looking around you're thinking 'Oi Oi', but Lambourn was immense in the final furlong.
