Juddmonte won the Greenham Stakes with Jonquil and the owners have another Classic trial chance in Field Of Gold, who will take on eight rivals in Wednesday’s bet365 Craven Stakes (3.35).

The John and Thady Gosden-trained son of Kingman finished fourth in the Jean-Luc Lagardere on Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe day when last seen in October.

The Group 3 Solario Stakes winner will bid to reverse the form of his two and three-quarter length Doncaster debut defeat to New Century, who represents the Jonquil combination of Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy.

New Century is the sole Group 1 winner in the line-up for the £85,000 feature race of the meeting, having landed the Summer Stakes at Woodbine last September.

Aomori City finished a place ahead of New Century in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf and last year’s Vintage Stakes winner is one of two runners in the race for Charlie Applebly, who has trained three of the last six winners of the Craven.

Aomori City is the choice of William Buick while James Doyle comes in for the ride on two-time Kempton winner Opera Ballo on his turf debut.

Wimbledon Hawkeye was ridden by Doyle when winning Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes over the Craven course and distance and when finishing third in the Group 1 Futurity Trophy Stakes. The James Owen-trained son of Kameko has a new jockey in Harry Davies, who has ridden two winners from seven rides for the Gredley family, and was successful on his sole mount for the owners this season.

Matauri Bay has only three-quarters of a length to find with favourite Field Of Gold on their Group 3 Solario Stakes meeting at Sandown last August. Flying Scotsman Stakes winner Benevento, Group 3 course winner The Waco Kid and Karl Burke’s unbeaten The Watcher complete the line-up.

Henry Candy's only runner this season won and Run To Freedom will be the trainer's first representative since Double Red's success at Nottingham last Wednesday in the Blandford Bloodstock Abernant Stakes (3.00).

Run To Freedom's six rivals include the Andre Fabre-trained Sajir and Grand Grey, who represents the Kevin Ryan stable that has won the Group 3 four times since 2015.
