Mighty Park's late switch is a surprise - but Willie Mullins could still hold the aces in the Turners

It was certainly a surprise to see Mighty Park scratched from the Turners Novices' Hurdle at the five-day stage. 

Willie Mullins has tended to confirm his novices for a variety of targets before making a call at the declaration stage two days before the race. So perhaps this was the owner’s play and not the trainer’s.

The fact that Mullins has confirmed eight other runners, who are all owned by someone other than JP McManus, for the Turners, appears to provide further evidence that it wasn’t the trainer’s decision.
