Well-handicapped Aramax strengthens Elliott's formidable Wednesday team
Tom Collins on the latest developments along the road to the Cheltenham Festival

Gordon Elliott, top trainer at the Cheltenham Festival in 2017 and 2018 with six and eight wins respectively, looks set for another phenomenal Wednesday at the meeting.
The Irish maestro, who is a best-priced 2-1 second favourite to land the title again, does not appear to have obvious strength in depth across the four days but will be hoping two of his stable stars and the well-handicapped Aramax hit the mark on day two of the meeting.
Envoi Allen (Ballymore) and Tiger Roll (Cross Country) are equally exciting and dominant in their sphere and both are likely to be close to odds-on. Should Envoi Allen, who is considered worthy of a Champion Hurdle entry, start the day on the right note for punters, two-time Grand National hero and double Cross Country winner Tiger Roll will be expected to follow suit for a race at which he is currently trading around the 13-8 mark.
