Frost following a family tradition with Foxhunter success

Although poor Lizzie Kelly got only as far as the second fence in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, elsewhere at the festival it was very much a case of girls to the front as female riders ran riot in the three races confined to amateurs.

After Lisa O'Neill and Gina Andrews had scored earlier in the week, Paul Nicholls' pupil-assistant Bryony Frost completed the sweep as she partnered owner Andy Stewart's Pacha Du Polder to a memorable victory from stablemate Wonderful Charm in the Foxhunter.

"I was just willing the line to come and it came out right for me," recalls Frost, 21. "At the top of the hill I had to pinch myself about how much horse I had underneath me. It was just a matter of getting those last two as well as he did the others and staying on up the hill, and he tried his heart out, put everything on the line for me.
