Richard 'Sparky' Bevis looks back on a landmark day for the Nigel Twiston-Davies team

Cheltenham 2010 was a big week for the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard, and in the thick of things at Grange Hill Farm was head lad Richard ‘Sparky’ Bevis, charged with looking after major players in the Champion Hurdle and Gold Cup.

I remember Khyber Kim had been working the house down before the Champion Hurdle, but my lasting memory is of looking across the pre-parade ring and seeing this thing on springs that turned out to be Binocular, looking like a caged tiger.
