Walker has Antarctic at the top of his game for Ascot mission

Stormy Antarctic is out to end 2016 in the same way he began it in Saturday's Group 1 Qipco QEII Stakes at Ascot, in which trainer Ed Walker thinks his stable-star is ready to run "the race of his life."

Walker is shortly to depart Newmarket for new horizons at Kingsdown Stables in Upper Lambourn and he's hoping to take his classy Craven Stakes winner with him with a coveted first Group 1 on his CV.

A 25-1 chance for the all-aged test, Stormy Antarctic has been through a few hoops since his reversal at the hands of one of this weekend's rivals Ribchester in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville in August.
