'To make up that amount of ground was bordering on weird' - Rosallion firing on all cylinders at home in QEII build-up

Unseasonably dry weather has trainer Richard Hannon licking his lips as he looks forward to unleashing stable star Rosallion in Saturday's Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot.

The going on the straight course at Ascot was described as good on Sunday and a largely dry forecast before the weekend has turned conditions in Rosallion's favour, according to his trainer, who won the race with King Of Change in 2019.

"It doesn't look like there's much rain around, if any, and we're delighted with that," said Hannon on Sunday. "Sean Levey rode him this morning and he was delighted with him. He'll have another blow on Wednesday, but the work is done now really."
