Gold Cup-winning combination Rachael Blackmore and Henry de Bromhead will make a midweek trip to Cheltenham as Alice Avril has been declared for the mares' handicap chase (4.25) on Thursday.

The pair enjoyed a Grade 1 treble at the festival thanks to Honeysuckle, A Plus Tard and Bob Olinger and they will be hoping to strike lucky again at Prestbury Park after drawing a blank at Aintree's Grand National meeting.

Running well on two of her three starts this season, Alice Avril faces Listed winners The Glancing Queen and Cut The Mustard in the four-runner contest.

Blackmore and De Bromhead teamed up to win on the card back in 2019 when Havingagoodtime ran out an 18-length winner of the feature race.

Meanwhile, there is French interest in the aforementioned feature Grade 3 juvenile handicap hurdle (3.50), as Hugo Merienne sends Irresistable from his Chantilly base.

Talented mares On My Command and Theatre Glory face off in the opening Listed novice hurdle (1.30) and the Venetia Williams-trained Fontaine Collonges bids for a third victory of the campaign in the Listed novice handicap chase (2.05).

Disappointing turnout at Newmarket

Just 50 runners have been declared for Newmarket's seven-race card, continuing the theme of disappointing field sizes from the jumps season.

The Andrew Balding-trained Masekela was beaten just a short-head by Native Trail last July and the three-year-old is the star attraction in the the Listed Feilden Stakes (3.35).

William Buick is booked to ride the Listed winner, who ended his juvenile campaign with a fourth-place finish in the Royal Lodge.

Elsewhere, John and Thady Gosden send out once-raced course-and-distance winner Audience in the bet365 British EBF Conditions Stakes (2.25). The colt is Frankie Dettori's sole ride on the card.

A dominant winner on debut, he does not hold any Group 1 entries, but another strong performance could tempt connections towards loftier targets.

The 2018 Queen Anne winner Accidental Agent also makes his reappearance in the 7f handicap (4.10) but will need to give away plenty of weight to several unexposed rivals, including Tadreeb for Stuart Williams.

Promising 7lb claimer Benoit de la Sayette's sole ride at the Craven meeting will be aboard hat-trick seeking Night On Earth in the Newmarket closer (4.45).
