What horse presents the biggest threat to Epatante in the Champion Hurdle?
Brian Hayes, jockey Saint Roi was unlucky in the Morgiana Hurdle. He could be the one to worry her the most.
James Knight, Coral The rest of the British contenders look desperate, so you have to look to Ireland for dangers. County Hurdle winner Saint Roi can probably be forgiven his defeat at Punchestown last time and still has the potential to progess, so I would nominate him as the chief threat.
David Pipe, trainer I don’t think there is one from what I saw at Newcastle. Maybe Saint Roi could be a danger – nothing went right for him last time in the Morgiana Hurdle and he still almost managed to win. I’m sure they’ll change a few things with him and he’s only five, so there’s plenty of room for improvement.
