Upwardly mobile Fahey will continue to soar with Peregrine

Versatile trainer is making a big impact in a range of disciplines

Recent weeks have seen a relenting in the pace with which he had been churning out winners, but Peter Fahey could draw stumps now and still reflect on a momentous 2016.

These days, there cannot be a more difficult training environment for a newcomer to make an impact in than the Irish jumps scene. Fahey is one of the few bucking the trend.

Over the course of the calendar year he has plundered 20 winners across all codes. As of now, he is 12th on the jumps trainers’ table with 12 wins, more than 20 places higher than where he finished last term.
