There is little demarcation between the living and working areas downstairs chez Doumen, the furniture blending comfortable sofas and rugs with desks and an accumulation of trophies and photographs recalling 40 years of travelling the turf form east to west.

It is a reflection of the way Francois and Elizabeth Doumen have existed within horseracing during that time, having perfected the art of both living for their work while working to enjoy life.

To spend any time with them is to appreciate not only how many equine superstars have passed through their hands but also the number of people who have touched their lives along the way.
