Stunning Kyprios eclipses Yeats by posting highest staying RPR this century
Kyprios provided the standout Racing Post Rating during a high-class weekend of racing at Longchamp, with his 20-length win in the Prix du Cadran surpassing any effort posted by legendary stayer Yeats.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained four-year-old won his fourth consecutive Group 1 in style on Saturday, powering clear to earn a RPR of 128, the best figure by a stayer this century, as his rivals toiled in the testing conditions in Paris.
His Cadran wins takes him past the peak RPR of 126 Yeats achieved for his Goodwood Cup wins in 2006 and 2008, the same figure Trueshan earned for his weight-carrying win in this year's Northumberland Plate. It is also superior to the best efforts of Stradivarius and Order Of St George (both career-best RPRs of 125).
