Harry heads strong team chasing another personal best
Nicholas Godfrey talks to one of the young talents of the training ranks
After an excellent 2016-17 campaign in which Harry Fry yet again improved his seasonal tallies for winners and prize-money, the ever-upwardly mobile trainer already has 14 successes to his name this time around as the stable's big guns are readied for the serious action to come.
The six-year-old Golden Birthday, whose hurdles mark is now prohibitive, has even added a couple of Flat wins. He could be running again at Doncaster before targets like the Chester Cup are considered next year.
However, the summer months at Manor Farm probably won't be remembered with too much fondness as Fry will have to overcome the tragic loss of potential superstar Neon Wolf, the massively talented hurdler who was killed in a freak stable accident in August.
