More winners than ever and more prize-money too, throw in a couple of Group 1 winners at Royal Ascot and you can see why 2016 was a year Clive Cox will have trouble forgetting.

But the amiable Cox is not resting on that success and is fuelled by the idea of matching and surpassing those achievements.

Fortunately, Ascot heroes My Dream Boat and Profitable are still around, while Harry Angel could emerge as a high-class three-year-old sprinter. Add promising juveniles Kick On Kick On and Chagatai to the mix and it is easy to see why Cox reckons he is starting the campaign with plenty of firepower.
