'He's a machine – we could be looking at Cheltenham or Aintree'

It was a series of mishaps at Wetherby – he made a mistake because of the sun and then he overreached. Thank god Nico [De Boinville] pulled him up. He's sound now but whether he runs in the Ladbrokes Trophy is in the balance, otherwise there's an open handicap at Cheltenham on December 15, with a view to going back for the trials meeting in January. He's definitely still got it but we just have to run him when he's right.

Won't run on anything faster than good to soft because that jars him. Would have a chance off a low weight in the Ladbrokes Trophy if it went heavy but would have to have a run first. Has some smart form on very soft ground and was the moral victor of the Reynoldstown as the jockey on the winner broke the whip rules.

We were happy wioterth her performance behind Apple's Jade, who is undoubtedly an exceptional horse. We have no major plan with our mare but we'll try to keep her to her own sex as far as we can, though there's actually nothing between now and Christmas confined to mares that she's qualified for as she's a Grade 1 winner. With that in mind she could go to Leopardstown at Christmas but it's unlikely she'll run before that. I actually think she'd appreciate a bit of better ground than she had at Navan [soft to heavy] – she was a little bit stuck in it.
