Unfortunately he won't be back until at least the spring. He's had surgery on his knee and is recovering at Martinstown. He's a real good-ground horse and we won't be doing anything with him until January 1 but hopefully he'll be able to get back for the likes of Punchestown and Killarney next year.

He's back in training with us after a long break and the plan is for him to stay over hurdles this season. We hope he might be able to run around Christmas and I'd imagine he'll probably stick to the three-mile division. He never really got his ground over fences last season and hopefully everything can go well for him this time around.

He improved for his first run over fences at Punchestown when second at Naas. It's a different discipline for him to get the hang of and there are some very strong novice chasers around at the moment. He showed some good form last season so hopefully he can have another good year.
