Sherwood dons Biggles gear in anticipation of wing-walk
Grand National-winning trainer Oliver Sherwood is no stranger to flying high in big races, but the daunting prospect of a charity wing-walk on a biplane is causing trepidation for the master of Rhonehurst Stables.
Conspiracy theories may abound about how Sherwood ended up with the 'prize' – in aid of children’s charity The Starlight Foundation – following a recent charity auction at Kempton, and he is convinced he has been the subject of a “stitch-up” between one of his owners Tim Syder and good friend Nick Mustoe.
Just to make sure the trainer really gets into the swing of things ahead of the wing-walk in the spring, and perhaps rub it in a bit, his wife Tarnya has purchased him a Biggles outfit so there is no chance of him looking out of place come the big day.
