Safer gambling not responsible gambling the focus, says commission chief

Gambling operators should shoulder the responsibility for protecting customers, the industry's regulator has said, as the focus moves from "responsible gambling" to "safer gambling".

To reflect that change, the Responsible Gambling Strategy Board has become the Advisory Board for Safer Gambling (ABSG) as the Gambling Commission gears up for the launch of the National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms on April 25.
