Don't panic, Mr Mainwaring, don't panic, don't panic, don't panic!

This has always been an easy suggestion to make, but is typically difficult to put into practice. Panic rarely has any positive outcome, which is why folk such as Lance Corporal Jack Jones of Dad's Army used to regularly encourage a lack of it, but there is not a soul alive who has never felt an unstoppable portion of panic pierce their brain at some stage.

People should be trained, perhaps as early as their school days, to control panic levels as much as humanly possible. Maybe joining PE on the lessons schedule should be PE2 – physical education followed by panic elimination – with Buddhist monks entering the classroom to teach our children how to stay calm.
