After Saldier's Morgiana win, who do you now think will be the leading force in the 2m hurdle division?

Sean Heffernan, Betfair It looks wide open, and with so many question marks over those at the top of the market in the Champion Hurdle, I might take a chance on Elixir De Nutz at 25-1. He was a smart novice last season when he showed plenty of speed and is lightning over his hurdles. I think he is due to return in the International at Cheltenham in December.

Kerry Lee, trainerIt’s early days in what looks an open year, but Fusil Raffles is a deeply impressive young horse. He could follow Espoir D’Allen last year in being a rare five-year-old winner of the Champion Hurdle. The way he burst on song in the spring and the way he won at Punchestown left a big impression and he’ll sharpen up for his Wincanton win.

Jonjo O’Neill jnr, jockeyBuveur D’Air is still the one to beat. Okay, he fell in the Champion Hurdle but ran well over two and a half miles at Aintree and then won nicely at Punchestown. None of the horses stepping up have done what he’s done. They’re up-and-coming, but he’s got the medals on the table.
