Racecourse Media Group (RMG) is hoping an ultra-low latency streaming service being rolled out this month will help in the development of new in-play markets for bookmakers – which will in turn boost racing's finances.

RMG, the umbrella organisation for the 34 racecourses which hold an interest in Racing TV, claim the streams from its tracks will be only around 0.6 seconds behind live on most bookmakers' digital platforms across all devices.

The faster pictures are part of RMG’s new Watch & Bet service, to which 52 bookmaker brands have signed up since it was launched this summer, replacing the previous bet-to-view service, which had 18 streaming betting partners.
