Warren Greatrex 'can’t wait to get going' as jumping preparations continue with a morning school
A morning on the gallops is the perfect way to start any day, but a morning watching horses put through their paces at the schooling grounds in Lambourn feels like an added bonus.
Warren Greatrex has enjoyed a fruitful spell on the Flat this year with eight winners from 59 runners, but his attention has very much started to focus on the jumps as he attempts to build on last season’s best return in terms of prize-money since the 2019-20 campaign.
Supported by assistant trainer Olly Kozak, Greatrex oversaw a number of his string completing a morning gallop on both the grass and all-weather gallop at the top of Mandown, which is situated a stone's throw from his Rhonehurst base.
