Vandemere in Aintree shop window after smart win for James and Doyle
Rob James and the Doyle brothers left the popular County Derry venue with a treble, which included both divisions of the Dennison Commercials maiden for four-year-olds.
Vandemere was clearly the one to beat in the opening division following his debut third behind Sporting John in one of the most competitive maidens of the spring at Borris House three weeks earlier, and he vindicated that view with a comfortable seven-length defeat of Ahead Of Schedule.
The winner, a €50,000 Land Rover Sale purchase, will now go back under the hammer at tomorrow’s Goffs UK Aintree Sale.
