Jamie Codd has a close affinity with Tinahely and on Sunday the former champion got off the mark for the season with a double.

Codd’s first winner came through the Harry Kelly-trained newcomer Thegallantway, who justified favouritism to land the Goffs UK Autumn P2P Sale five-year-old geldings’ maiden.

The son of Stowaway, mounted his challenge in the straight and in a matter of strides pulled 12 lengths clear.
