The King George simply must be on this horse's agenda next season - and he's a cracking bet to win it

Following his extraordinary achievement in the Grand National, I suspect Willie Mullins will be chasing a hat-trick of British trainers' championships next season – and he might have uncovered just the horse to kickstart his bid a little bit earlier than usual.
Mullins didn't have a single runner in the King George this season, but surely the Kempton race will be on his agenda come December 26, and he looks to have a cracking contender to win it at 10-1.
A couple of things have become clear with Gaelic Warrior by now. First, he is not a two-miler anymore – maybe his win in a moderate Arkle in 2024 fooled us into thinking he was. Second, he hates Leopardstown and should never go back there again. His December effort was acceptable on the basis that it was his first run of the season. However, his third at the Dublin Racing Festival was worse and just lacked any real enthusiasm.
