Connections of Silver Sheen reckon their gelding has a bright future on the track in Britain after a gutsy victory on his second appearance.

He was bought for only £10,000 at Goffs Doncaster sale in May 2017 and could turn out to be a bargain buy.

The Paul Cashman-trained Silver Sheen stepped forward from his sixth-placed debut effort at Aghabullogue three weeks earlier by coming out narrowly on top under Michael O'Sullivan in the Water Rock Golf Course five-year-old geldings’ maiden.
