Shades of Denman - No Drama This End leads the way as Cheltenham success augurs well for season to come

Cheltenham’s November meeting last weekend provided British point-to-pointing with an abundance of results to be proud of. 

Leading the way was Paul Nicholls' five-year-old No Drama This End, whose impressive win in Friday’s Grade 2 novice hurdle – on his hurdling debut – even led the trainer to talk of him in the same breath as Gold Cup winner Denman.

The Walk In The Park gelding won a British maiden race at Badbury Rings in February 2024 when trained and ridden by Will Biddick before being purchased by Tom Malone for Nicholls at the Cheltenham Festival sale for £160,000. Not only was he back at Cheltenham last week, he had also run there at the festival, finishing ninth in the Champion Bumper after winning on his bumper debut at Warwick.
