Point-to-points producing speedy hurdlers as well as staying chasers

Stamina and speed are what jump racing is all about. Often it's a case of one or the other, but the very good ones usually have a mix of both.

Last week I wrote about Thyestes Chase winner Longhouse Poet and mentioned other recent winners of the big Gowran Park race who started off in the point-to-point field.

Naturally, it was a list of chasers whose most important attributes included stamina and the ability to jump well over three miles in winter ground.
