Northern owner teams up with Bowe as Rocco impresses at Tinahely
It was a quiet weekend with a single meeting. The action at Tinahely started with a four-year-old maiden won in good style by Rocco, a Shantou gelding who had fallen on his only start in the spring.
This fellow is trained by Colin Bowe and owned by his breeder Graham Morrow, who is from Belfast. The dam Navaro, a daughter of Be My Native, has done well for Morrow, producing three winners, including Line Ball, who won five races for Christy Roche and owner JP McManus, and Sin Bin, who won two bumpers for Paul Nicholls carrying the colours of Trevor Hemmings.
I would guess this fellow will find a good home too. As far as I know, none of Navaro’s previous foals started life in point-to-points, and Morrow made a good decision in teaming up with Bowe, who has such a great strike-rate with his four-year-olds. It’s also a help having Barry O’Neill on your side.
