The final weekend of the season never fails to throw up a thrilling title finish and this year the story over the three days of the bank holiday weekend was the remarkable comeback of Maxine O’Sullivan to clinch the ladies’ title in the final race of the season.

Entering the weekend, the County Cork native trailed Susie Doyle by two winners with just three days of racing to reel her in. However O’Sullivan rode seven times across the weekend and produced a winner on each of the three days.

Two of them were provided by her father Eugene, as Dubai Daisy and Super Citizen won on consecutive afternoons at Kinsale, before it came down to the wire at Ballingarry on Monday.
