It did not take Aidan Fitzgerald long to make his mark on the two-day meeting at Durrow, winning the first two races at the Offaly track on Saturday.

Fitzgerald, who trains out of Cobajay Stables in Carlow, sent out debutant Be My Oscar to record a ten-length success in the Tattersalls Ireland, Ascot & Cheltenham Sales four-year-old mares’ maiden.

The daughter of Oscar looks to have a bright future after showing a blend of speed and stamina under Harley Dunne to get the better of a battle with Cavs Girl.
