Kaletto the highlight as six-timer equals best weekend of the season
I've crammed plenty of action into the last week. It's been good to get a couple of bumper winners on the board, on Silk And Sand for Joseph O'Brien at Thurles last Thursday and Pakens Rock for Barry Murphy at the same venue on Monday. In between, I managed a total of six wins at Lisronagh and Dromahane, my best weekend in points for some time.
On Saturday at Lisronagh I rode the opening leg of a treble on West Cork, a four-year-old newcomer by Midnight Legend, trained by Timmy Hyde. He picked up well for me, and I reckon he could have the pace to compete effectively in a bumper.
I had a comfortable win on Kaletto for County Westmeath trainer Mark Fagan in the five-year-old mares' maiden, and had my third success of the season on Longhouse Music for Sam Curling in the mares' open.
