Moira Equestrian Centre manager Eoin Barry extols the farm's facilities
I'm the farm manager at Moira Equestrian Centre, which hosted the Iveagh Foxhounds point-to-point on Saturday, and I've been involved in racing throughout my life.
I’m originally from Kilworth, in Cork, and most of my family's interest has been in greyhound racing, but I used to be the secretary of the point-to-point at home before I went to Britain to work for Kim Bailey, Timmy Murphy and Fergal O’Brien.
When I came back I moved up north and married the former point-to-point rider Karen Ferris. I did have my trainer's licence for a while, and during that time we were lucky enough to have a winner at Down Royal with Lusis Naturea in 2018, and we also had good success between the flags.
