Vandemere (92+) was asked to quicken rounding the home bend and soon began pulling clear of a tightly grouped field to win quite comfortably. He has the speed to drop back in trip and has a profile typical of so many of his sire’s offspring.

Grandads Cottage (92++) made a winning debut in a race which saw only one rival capable of landing a meaningful challenge. He had that horse's measure from the second-last in what was an authoritative success.
